Halloween fun..........

Ezra said that he loved our Halloween party and he especially loved the cookies. :) All kinds of things went on during our party, costumes were worn, tattoos were applied, feet were painted, games were played, candy was eaten, the list goes on and on.

Charades.........

One of the games we played during our Halloween party was charades. I always forget how much fun this is. It is really easy for them as long as I keep it simple. This particular day we stuck with animals and actions or things that our bodies can do. Maddie is giving us a clue that she is swimming, I know it's hard to tell in this picture. Maggie is being a frog in this one, love the picture, she was really "getting some air" in that one. Eliott is trying to get the kids to guess that he is sleeping in this picture. We laughed hysterically, I think it was the toughest one that we did that day.

Baby ghost races.........

We had baby ghost races as part of our games during our Halloween party. The kids had fun trying to keep the baby ghost (cotton ball with sharpie colored eyes) on their spoon as they raced around the room. Giggles could be heard the whole time. :)

Making ghosts.........

We made ghost pictures as part of our Halloween party fun. All you need are some willing feet, black paper, white paint, and some wiggly eyes.

Acorn gathering........

After we watched the squirrels that afternoon, the boys decided that they needed to get busy and gather some acorns to take home before they were all gone. lol!

Squirrel watching.........

The squirrels were going completely crazy on this particular day. There were at least a half a dozen of them racing up and down the tree. The boys had so much fun watching them, squealing with delight as the squirrels jumped from branch to branch. Yelling, "Look at that one!!" "Whoa!!"

Feeding the squirrels........

One of our projects this fall was to feed the squirrels. I thought this would give us a way to observe them from only a short distance away. Well, needless to say we haven't had any "takers." I don't know if it's all the noise in the backyard or maybe it has something to do with the fact that there are thousands of acorns lying around. :) Maybe this winter the corn will be more appealing.

Spiders..........

I found this cute idea for making spiders here. I got too excited about the whole process that I forgot to take pictures of the kids painting and putting them together. I thought they turned out great though. The next day, Eliott came in and said that his dad was really scared. "My dad is really scared of spiders!" and then he giggled uncontrollably. :)

Halloween signs............

I bought these fun monster stamps the other day and the kids took one look at them and exclaimed, "We could make Halloween signs!!" So that is just what they did. They were so sure that these signs were going to scare their mom and dad.

Painting pumpkins..........

All the kids were thrilled to paint their pumpkins this year. I think it is a yearly tradition that reminds them that Halloween is just around the corner. :)
