This was such a great day. I packed an ice chest with our picnic lunch and we headed out the door early. We went to the library and it was not open yet. We decided to walk around to the back and play at that playground while we waited for the library to open. I took a picture of the boys gathering sticks and loading them into the back of the truck. They were so funny, they just got to "work" and had a whole imaginative scenario going on. They would "drive" the truck, then "stop", and they would both get out and gather sticks. They chattered away the whole time. Then, it was time for the library to open, so we went back around and went in. We went in the children's room and they each picked out books for me to read to them. They each picked one thing to check out. The librarian was very kind and let each of them stamp the due date on their selected item. We then headed for the beloved "blue park." They ran, skipped, jumped, climbed, and slid until it was time to eat their lunch. After they ate their lunch, they went back and played for awhile longer. After that we headed back home for a bathroom break and a rest!
I'm jealous. You have the greatest job!!
ReplyDeleteI just went on the site today. I'm jealous! I think Maddie's missing out when I don't bring her to daycare everyday over the summer! : ) Thanks for the great pictures, Chantelle!
